INTRODUCTION Cherwell Edge Golf Club is privately owned and enjoys an active membership and a busy fixture list. The Club has a tradition of giving a friendly welcome to visitors. The Club aims to provide enjoyable and challenging golf in a friendly environment and at sensible prices. Emphasis is given to service, to friendliness, and especially to the quality of the course. Cherwell Edge is an attractive and challenging 18 hole course some 6000 yards in length and with a par of 70. The course, which is nearly 20 years old, is set in 115 acres of land, wooded in parts, with streams and an undulating terrain which commands some lovely views. Part of the course is old parkland formerly attached to the local manor, which can be seen from the 14th fairway. The
course has been constructed to a high specification, including large
greens and tees (all irrigated by pop-up sprinklers), and challenging
bunkers. The course also includes a covered floodlit driving range
with 18 bays. Cherwell
Edge Golf Club is easily accessible from the neighbouring towns of
Banbury, Brackley, Bicester and Towcester, as well as being only 2 minutes
from junction 11 of the M40. The clubhouse offers all the usual
amenities of a shop, bars, restaurants and changing rooms. There
is ample car parking. Telephone reservations are taken for tee
times (01295 711591) and it is recommended to call ahead to avoid the
risk of delay. Enquiry Telephone No: 01295 711591
